FAQ
Questions we get asked a lot
If yours isn't here, call and ask — we'd rather answer it than have you guess.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. We come out, look at the job in person, and give you a written estimate at no cost and with no obligation. If we think you don't need the work, we'll tell you that too.
How soon can you start?
It depends on the season and the size of the job. Small repairs can often be scheduled within a week or two; full roof replacements and exterior paint jobs usually book further out. We'll give you a realistic date with your estimate rather than an optimistic one.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — licensed as a contractor and carrying both general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We're happy to provide copies of both before work begins.
Do you handle insurance claims for storm damage?
We do. We'll inspect the roof, document the damage with photos, and give you a detailed report you can submit to your insurer. We can also meet the adjuster on site so nothing gets missed.
What does a project cost?
It depends entirely on scope, materials, and the condition of what's already there — which is why we look in person instead of quoting over the phone. Your written estimate breaks out materials and labor so you can see exactly where the money goes.
Do you offer any kind of warranty?
Yes. Workmanship is warrantied, and manufacturer warranties on materials are passed through to you. The specific terms are written into your estimate so there's no ambiguity later.
Will you protect my floors, furniture, and landscaping?
Always. Interior work gets floors and fixtures covered and rooms sealed off. Exterior work gets landscaping, walkways, and windows masked. The site is cleaned at the end of every day, not just at the end of the job.
Can I stay in the house while you work?
In almost every case, yes. We'll walk you through which areas will be off-limits on which days so you can plan around it. For interior painting we can often work room by room to keep the house livable.
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. A single door, one wall of drywall, a leaking vent boot — those are welcome. Small jobs are how most of our long-term customers first found us.
What areas do you serve?
We serve your city and the surrounding communities. If you're not sure whether you're in range, just ask.
Still have a question?
Call, or send us a note and we'll get back to you the same day whenever we can.
